In fact, go outside everyday if you can. Why do people feel they can't leave their house in cold weather? Just dress correctly and you can have the city all to yourself while lesser souls are crowding around their televisions. The bars aren't as crowded. You can catch some great theatre or just bundle up and go for a jog in the Park. Ok, you will have to share with the other all-weather folks, but they're a pretty friendly group. Like a secret club with members who pass each other on a wintry beach and give a slight nod or wave that says, "Isn't this great?".
Please forgive the soapbox. There is just real, actual bad weather out there where people lose their homes and loved ones. If you're blessed enough to have a home in this weather, don't resign yourself to a dark, lonely winter inside of it.
The very coldest days are the also the sunniest, that's all I'm sayin'.
